Storing our O&O products

Our skincare products are all natural and handmade, with ingredients sourced within Australia and that’s what makes them different. Given this a little extra care is required when considering the storage of our luxe skincare products.

Our products generally have an expected shelf life of 6 months from opening and remain at the desired consistency and scent if stored correctly. We advise our customers and stockists to store their Olieve & Olie skincare goodies in a cool dry place and use within a year of purchase.

On occasion we will receive a question about the difference in our creams, for example, a customer has purchased a product, only to discover the contents is not as thick as normal. This can be due to a number of reasons i.e. we use natural ingredients in our products, and this can sometimes cause slight variations to consistency, colour & smell. Most of these variations are so small you may never even notice them. Stock sitting on a stockists shelf for long periods of time, heat, light, steam and water can also affect all of the delicately-balanced formulas.

Our recommendation to all our customers, is that our products should always be stored in a cool, dark place away from sunlight and heat. Most skincare products, especially active serums and sunscreen, will recommend their products be stored in a place that is cold and dark, ideally around 15-25 degrees.
