Our story
We started making olive oil soap in our kitchen over twenty years ago. Today, we still make everything by hand in our workshop on the Mornington Peninsula — because the best skincare comes from real ingredients, real care, and real patience.
How it all started
Olieve & Olie was founded 23 years ago by Andy & Jude Steele. Their property, situated on the banks of the Gunbower Creek, was the perfect condition for growing olives and so they planted 2000 olive trees. Shortly after their first harvest Jude began making her first batch of olive oil soap.

In 2010 Andy & Jude sold their grove and moved to the Mornington Peninsula. Olieve & Olie continued to flourish from their home studio in St Andrews Beach. The sea-change allowed Jude to concentrate on developing new products and growing the business.

It wasn't long before Andy & Jude outgrew their home studio and in 2015 the business moved into a factory in Rosebud. Shortly afterwards their children, Sarah & Hal, joined the business. From their humble beginnings 23 years ago, Olieve & Olie is a real ‘kitchen to factory’ success story.

Our ingredients
Every ingredient in an Olieve & Olie product is naturally derived and traceable — Australian extra virgin olive oil, local beeswax, essential oils, and botanicals from growers we know by name. And just as important as what's in the bottle is everything we leave out.
