Soap Making Workshop

Soap Making Workshop
Discover the timeless art of traditional soap making in a truly special, hands-on workshop at our beautiful Rosebud factory on the Mornington Peninsula, guided by Jude Steele, founder of Olieve & Olie.
First launched in 2010, these much-loved workshops quickly built a devoted following. When COVID forced us to pause, the requests never stopped. And now, we’re absolutely delighted to finally bring them back! The response in the past has been incredible, with participants raving about the experience and many still asking when they could return to the soap room.
Running from 9:30am – 3pm, this immersive, small-group workshop will give you the confidence and knowledge to make your own traditional olive oil soap at home. You’ll learn about ingredients, equipment, sourcing tips, and receive comprehensive course notes and tried-and-tested recipes to take home, empowering you to continue your soap-making journey long after the day ends.
Everything is thoughtfully provided: all equipment, premium ingredients, protective clothing, detailed notes, plus a beautiful lunch and refreshments to enjoy. You’ll head home with the gorgeous soap you’ve made on the day, along with the skills to recreate it yourself. As a special bonus, you’ll also have the opportunity to purchase products from our factory shop at a discounted rate.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or have always dreamed of learning traditional soap making, this is a rare opportunity to learn in a relaxed, inspiring environment from one of Australia’s most experienced artisan soap makers.
Participants must be 16 years or older. Places are limited, and if history is anything to go by, they’ll fill quickly.
